Carbon Usage Advice
The Building Regulations require improved standards of insulation and fuel economy but we usually advice that those standards are exceeded.
We will be able to help you consider options such as ground source or air source heat pumps, rainwater harvesting, grey water re-usage, PV (photo voltaic) panels, solar panels, underfloor heating etc,
We work with SAP calculation engineers to ensure that our designs achieve the best fuel economy and the smallest economic carbon footprint.
On larger projects, we generally work with a Services Engineer to ensure that the best available results are achieved.
For smaller projects, we carry out the preliminary design, prepare a brief and work with specialist contractors who have design facilities.
Our experience enables us to prepare the brief and monitor the design by specialists and, later, the construction and installation processes.
When working with Listed Buildings or other Historic Buildings, we ensure that our designs are sympathetically designed.
Brian Eyley has worked with Listed Buildings since the 1970s including a number of Grade 1 Buildings.
