Brian Eyley Partnership (B E P) offers full design services for new and existing buildings, carrying out the initial design and controlling the building works.

Typical projects include:
| Schools, colleges and universities - new, remodelled or refurbished classrooms, assembly halls, science laboratories and admin areas. |
| Commercial buildings - new, extended or remodelled shops, offices, industrial buildings (including a design for an ice cream factory). |
| Residential - new, converted or rehabilitated social housing, hostels, homes and individual houses. |
| Public buildings - refurbishment and extension of local authority owned public buildings. |
| Charities - new or refurbished buildings for various charities. |
Design Process
The design process often starts with an assessment of the existing building or site , sketch schemes and the preparation of a feasibility study. This is often used to obtain or justify the procurement of funds for the scheme.
This is followed by detailed designs, obtaining statutory and other consents and approvals and the preparation of the working drawings and specifications.
We prepare the tender documents as thoroughly as possible to ensure the best quotations and then control and monitor the construction work on site. This stage is described more fully on the Building Work page.
Spending Profiles and Cash Flow Analysis data can be provided on spreadsheets in conjunction with feasibility studies for new development, major refurbishment and conversion works.
CAD (Computer Aided Design)
Since the establishment of the Practice in 1991, we have used computer
aided design (CAD) for the preparation of all our drawings. Indeed, our disused drawing
board was taking up valuable space and was consigned to the dustbin! By the use of
CAD, we are able to exchange drawings with other professionals, provide record drawings on
disk, ensure that the drawings are clear, accurate and consistent and provide drawings to
alternative scales with ease.
Having had experience of CAD since 1991, we are very familiar with the process and quality
control requirements.
